Andover quickly outgrew the 300-seat Jenny Lind Chapel and constructed a new church in 1867, seating 1,000. The town never grew bigger than about 500 people, but the church drew congregants from various nearby towns like Galesburg, Illinois.

The owner class lives in fear of this becoming the norm.
