In Ithaca, NY, several years ago, 3 Starbucks unionized. Over roughly the next year, all 3 were closed.
I haven't set foot in a Starbucks since...
(Ok, here that's not usually a problem, but when migraine hits I need a seat and coffee ASAP. I had to find options. I did.)

NEW: At Pope Leoโs Urging, Bishops Issue Historic Rebuke of Trumpโs Raids
Nearly all U.S. Catholic bishops united in Baltimore to denounce the Trump administrationโs โinhumaneโ deportation campaign โ a near-unanimous, unprecedented moral stand against a sitting president.
BREAKING: At Pope Leo XIVโs urging, U.S. Catholic bishops just delivered the strongest rebuke of a sitting president in Church history โ condemning Trump-Vance raids as โinhumaneโ and โdehumanizingโ in a 216โ5 vote.

I don't think for combat units, but women have only been in combat units relatively recently. There are different standards for non-combat roles, and those change with age as well as sex. They don't expect someone who spent 20 years at a desk to look like a 20 year old who just finished basic.

Every woman in a combat unit passes the same rigorous physical test as the men. Which is more challenging than that given to people working supply lines, maintenance and repair, strategic planning, or any of the other jobs held by the majority of "warfighters."
He never saw combat himself.

Gray tabby cat looking directly at the camera.
Two years ago we went to the shelter for a cat.
When we opened the front of his crate, this one climbed right out on to my shoulder. "My person!"
He's curled up against my leg right now.

This is the message. Make it clear that these billionaires aren't just worried about losing money. They're worried about losing the ability to exchange their money for power.

I wonder if he remembers his mom needing ID when she wrote a check at the store. They didn't accept plastic until, oh, the late 80s/early 90s. I mean, he would have needed to, also, but I doubt he ever bought groceries in person as an adult.

We had Advent calendars when I was a kid in the 60s. They were for children, to help us understand the passage of time while we waited. Cardboard, with little doors you opened to see a pretty picture - could be of a toy or a Bible scene, we had both at different times. Fun for kids, not a big deal.

They keep saying they want to "prevent permanent changes." Which is an outright lie.
They're trying to force them. They want the transman to have wide hips and long legs. The transwoman to have broad shoulders and a deep voice. They want to be able to see who is trans - forever. Drives me nuts.

On MSNBC Cuomo said "diversity can be a weakness." When asked by one of the two Black hosts (Eugene) to clarify, he doubled down on his statement and called Eugene "Jonathan."
So Cuomo is anti-diversity & can't tell Black people apart.๐ค
Honestly the best anti-Cuomo ads are just letting Cuomo speak

1. The commercial was done by Ontario, not Canada itself, which is run by someone in the opposing party to Carney. He had nothing to do with it.
2. Commercial was not "false." It was entirely accurate.
3. Reagan hated tariffs.

In the US we have many citizens for whom English is a second (or third, fourth...) language. Some are highly intelligent, but English is a work in progress.
We also have many citizens who, because of who they are, where they lived, never had a chance at a decent education. Smart, poor vocabulary.
