It was interesting telling a coworker that the grant that put nice stuff in our classrooms for students got shut down because Trump decided it was DEI and watching him try to wrestle with the idea that Trump did something negative to him and our students that really has no good justification.

And don't forget the members of the media who are complicit and spin them as good things or put out stories to distract.

So I don't get something and if someone who does sees this please actually educate me:

I get that Trumps tariffs are going to raise prices for us and people who think they'll make things cheaper are wrong.

But I don't get why? Who gets rich from this? Why do people in power/money want tariffs?

I pulled up my w2 with private info blacked out and showed my students how to file taxes and they complained that it was boring
