🚨 Tim Kaine is saying the quiet part out loud - underscoring why anyone shouldn't be satisfied with any of the "no" statements or posts from Dem Senators.

If Dem Senators are truly disgusted with this save they should be calling on #SurrenderSchumer to step aside as the Leader immediately.

Senate Democrats are a form of Republican. They are surrounded by billionaires, they talk to billionaires every day to raise money and they get their advice from staffers and consultants who long ago cooked their brains on X.

They won't if people let them off the hook for this clusterfuck.

If that's what you believe, then you should be furious that they let Americans go weeks without paychecks, SNAP, and essential services for nothing.

It's Schumers' job to keep his caucus together and manage negotiations just like this. Durbin and Kaine had their constieunts suffer for nothing, and now they will suffer more as their healthcare costs triple. Making excuses for elected officials instead of holding them accountable helps no one.

Any Democratic senator, at any moment, could've derailed this by calling for Schumer's replacement and casting their colleagues as MAGA collaborators, thereby shifting the Overton window. But they're all in on it. This was always a team effort.

Carefully choreographed votes and angry press releases are all cute, but the indication of whether anyone in the caucus really cares is whether there’s any push for leadership changes or punitive action against the cavers.

There won’t be, but that would be the theoretical sign this is different
