I blame myself. Looked at the score, thought this is unusual, then looked again two minutes later.

Very much looking forward to Will Jacks’ maiden Test century later. We’ll be bowled out at tea setting then 150 to win and have then 70-6 under lights. πŸ’πŸ˜‰

I’ve never rated Pope at 3. I think he could be a decent player at 5 or 6 but there’s no vacancy there, at the moment.

I was trying to remember who won it last year 🀣 if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry. Completely ludicrous!

So, the World Cup wall chart is going to be much bigger this time!

Guys, can we get this right please? There is no such thing as the two child benefit cap! There is a 2 child limit for UC claimants, and there is a benefit cap. They are two separate and distinct things. The 2 child limit is going, I’ve seen nothing yet that says the benefit cap is.

Not sure you can say that. Certainly the spinner will have a supporting role but I think they’d have liked to have had Lyon when Archer was teeing off. 4 seamers should be enough.

I’m calling that a decent day. Could have been better, could have been worse. Great knock from Root. Amazing the obsession we have with numbers. He’s great player because he’s scored 100 in Australia. Would he have been less good if he’d scored 90?

Beginning to think if they didn’t have Mitch Starc we might win this! πŸπŸ™ˆ

Sad news about Robin Smith. Outstanding player. Those of us of a certain vintage loved watching him bat. Probably the last England batsman I can remember who didn’t always wear a helmet playing fast bowlers.

Pink ball under lights. A more traditional English seamer might be the answer. Potts.

The first thing that struck me is the the benefit cap is still in there. This somewhat dilutes the removal of the 2 child limit for many households.

Can you confirm if the benefit cap remains in place? Unless I’ve missed something it does. This will severely limit the impact of removing the 2 child limit for many households.

I’m glad I’m not the only one thinking this. A lot of Labour MPs may get a shock when they realise many affected by the 2 child limit won’t actually be much better off when the cap kicks in. I wonder if this confusion is deliberate tactic from the Government.

Do we think the benefit cap is unchanged? If so removing the 2 child limit will have little impact for many.

Can you confirm if this means also abolishing the benefit cap?

26.11.2025 14:42 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Are we clear that means abolishing the benefit cap as well?

26.11.2025 13:45 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Presumably that includes the Benefit Cap as well, as the effect will be limited if it doesn’t?

At least they didn't publish the one from last week with the basic rate up 2p.

I know Brexit has cost us loads, but Simon Harmer could've been playing for England now, and that is the biggest loss

Watching highlights of the Ashes. No idea how Smith and Labuschagne haven’t got broken elbows.

Getting nervous now. The Ashes just hours away. England have a chance, but it’s so tough to win down under.

That’s a sensible rule, but before that you should not make ridiculous promises before an election that hinder doing the above.
