True - and we still don't, now that he's got calcified bones or whatever and will be out for the next few months. ☹️

Just in case someone wants to smack me round the head for berating our beloved Bear I want to say I'm joking. I hope you get loads and loads of new subcribers 😁

Yeah right - you were just waiting for me to sign up for 12 months before going all Father Christmas with your 20% off. Your timing is great - or mine is lousy!! 🀣

Can't argue with much of that Blue.

Whilst I'm sure he has been used as DM when no others were available he's a central midfielder first and foremost, which is a very different skill set to Nico and Rodri.

The relative silence is deafening from where I am. The alarm bells are ringing in your country but they're not ringing loud enough. If the Dems are not careful they will be remembered as somehow being complicit in the shutdown, even if the Reps fail to actually pin it all on them in the end. 2/

I'm not American, admittedly, but I see plenty of Truth Social guff from (allegedly) DJT and all the videos of your House Speaker roundly blaming Dems for the shutdown. Where are all the pushbacks from the Dem side of Congress? Why am I not getting overwhelmed with the volume of their responses? 1/

Another great piece, Bear - thank you. I really am starting to run out of superlatives for your writing, so this one I will call a Whizzbanger (bonfire night is just around the corner, after all). I realise it could also describe a memorable fart but I hope you accept it in the spirit intended. 😁

FFS it's like you people over there need to have eyes in your arses just to stop these shit-stirring shithouses. I truly wish you all well for the YES vote.

It's a long read but it's a good read. Highly recommended for anyone who needs info to arm themselves with in their arguments against Reform fuckwits - and anyone else with barely two brain cells to rub together. We must NOT leave the ECHR.

The Maccabi fans have a reputation for unacceptable behaviour - reputations are not born out of one unacceptable act, but numerous acts. The moaners should've shut their big, mis-informed traps and let the police and the club be the arbiters in the matter. Starmer should have done the same thing.

Makes me wonder how far away we are from lighting the torches and getting the pitchforks out. Most of our politicans - of all colours - are just total arsewipes.

Did she die on re-entry? I thought she died of hyperthermia and stress just hours into the flight and that her capsule burned up on re-entry some months afterwards. Either way, I hope she didn't suffer for long. 😒

You are correct that the EU covered their arses - of course they did, they're not idiots - but that was what we signed up to when we joined. Now I'm going to park the conversation, for good. If you reply I will not answer you. Again, all the best etc.

You may believe that an Exit Treaty was possible, personally I do not. I believe that Article 50 was the only legal route to us as the EU wouldn't have negotiated anything without it.

03.11.2025 23:48 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Article 50 was about as close as you can get to the Exit By Treaty you are advocating. The difference is so small it's barely noticeable. I'm going to park the conversation here, though, as it's been a long day. All the best to you.

Why would you want to do that to yourself, Bear? Wasn't the lousy cough and the sore ribs bad enough, so you decided on a new level of torture? Masochism, that's what it is... πŸ€”

What a total and utter arsehole that bloke is. It's a real pity so many can't see it, including our own, desperate for views/clicks, msm πŸ™„

I bow to your better memory of Corbyn, I am simply sharing my impression at the time. I'm not sure Article 50 was used as an emergency exit. It was the only formal way for us to leave the EU post referendum, and as I said in an earlier post my impression was that May seemed in a big hurry to use it.

That's just the kind of post I like to see. Clear, concise and true. Thank you for that George πŸ‘ (Not meaning any criticism of your other posts, of course, which are always excellent.)

It's hard to know where Corbyn stood on Brexit. What I remember is that he never appeared to be 100% Leave or 100% Remain. For me, it wasn't a good look for him at the time because it seemed like he was sitting on the fence a bit. As for him being our best PM in 50+ years, I guess we'll never know.

Yes, in the constituency he represents it is a Reform council.

03.11.2025 18:06 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

He cannot use freedom of expression when he is stirring up hatred and racism online because whether he likes it or not he is a known public servant and a public face of Durham Council. Says a lot about Durham if they're OK with that.
