Whenever I go away for a few days, my cat gets angry at me for returning.

My kids have measles and my SNAP benefits were cut. But at least those cashiers at Walmart aren’t writing β€œthey/them” on their name tags anymore.

He came in fifth, so he didn’t get the seat. If any other at-large councilors leave during this term, he will be elevated to the Council, so he’ll be a councilor-in-waiting for the next two years.

FTFY: β€œInbred halfwit living off of stolen generational wealth gives up meaningless title.” God, the NYT sucks so bad sometimes. I just may get around canceling my subscription one of these days.

Apparently some inbred halfwit living off of stolen generational wealth giving up a meaningless title is newsworthy.

My family immigrated to the US from Greece and opened a restaurant here in New Hampshire 108 years ago.

And yes, my grandfather invented the chicken tender. 🧡

One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced β€”and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it

β€œSocialist shopping?” Trump is gutting both health care and SNAP benefits that help the least among us, any number of whom living on the edge may be driven into homelessness.

The Herald can’t host adult conversations about any potentially innovative concept that helps those in need. It’s infantile.

No mention of the Clinton Administration’s role in the 1996 Telecommunications Act? If you want to see why, just look at that. What a betrayal that act was to all Americans.

The consolidation of media ownership was a completely predictable and direct result of the 1996 Telecommunications Act. Lifting media ownership restrictions was a betrayal of the public good by the Clinton Administration. It never should have been signed.

#arnoldarboretum is a gem. Its not safe to get to. South street in particular has people going 50 down it with no speed bumps, no bike lanes, no sidewalks. I routinely see people walking & biking there with cars attempting to pass. Lets take some space and put these in @wutrain.bsky.social

We're witnessing the most aggressive, fanatical crackdown on free speech in my lifetime. The speed and breadth of government censorship and private sector and nonprofit capitulation has been astonishing. As has the lack of urgency/silence from people who've long claimed to care about this stuff.

The fact that Matthew Dowd lost his job for pointing out Charlie Kirk’s hate speech, while Brian Kilmeade openly suggests we should euthanize the homeless and there is zero outrage, shows exactly what is terribly wrong with today’s political mainstream media.
