I'm addicted to swimming, crocheting dolls, manga, and ridiculous Chinese webnovels. 3 hrs well spent: reading. 1/2 hr wasted: running (She/her)

It's fondant. Not sure I'm advanced enough for modeling chocolate! I've just recently started trying to decorate cakes. Just for my nephew. It's a lot of work!!

I have spent the last 4 hours making an R2D2 cake for my nephew's birthday.
My feet hurt, but I am so proud.

White dish towel on a rack. On the dish towel it says "I finally found my sleep number..." And underneath those words there are 4 glasses of red wine.

In 1900, 31% of all deaths were children under the age of 5. Today it’s 0.7%. Vaccines, medications, and modern science are the reason why. Trust the science, it’s been proven to work safely and efficiently time and time again.

Next they'll be rewriting textbooks to say Japanese American internment camps were delightful summer resorts.

Thank you! Since I made the little thing, I probably see more imperfections than there actually are! 🀣🀣

I can knit, but I am not a knitter. I crochet. But I stepped way out of my comfort zone and knitted this teddy bear for my youngest nephew (1 week old yesterday!)
It's imperfect, but so cute.
My oldest nephew wants one now. Lol.

The White House has ordered the US Dept. of Justice to prioritize denaturalization: voiding the citizenship of US citizens.

Who will it denaturalize? "Any" case that it "determines to be sufficiently important".

Point 10 leaves the criteria opaque and arbitrary.

So I went and bought a full size folding keyboard and got a bonus 'jiggler' mouse for free, the kind that keeps your mouse cursor moving so your screen stays awake and your status never shows 'Away'. Hooked it up to my work computer - I've only had it for a couple hours and I already love it 🀣🀣🀣

Finished reading His Majesty's Dragon. I can't say I recommend listening to the latter half of this audiobook while driving. I legitimately ugly cried my way through Des Moines when one of the dragons died. I didn't think I could cry this hard over the death of a fictional dragon, but here we are πŸ’™πŸ“š

Just started listening to the audiobook of His Majesty's Dragon and felt curiously like I had just slipped into an alternate universe where Pride and Prejudice had dragons. I have been thoroughly enjoying the book so far. πŸ“šπŸ’™

When your friend invites you over to pick cherries from the the tree in his front yard and you come home with absolute GOBS of them.

On the topic of smart watches being stupid, I went to the dentist the other day and lay so still that my watch thought I took a 20 minute nap.

I reached my 10,000 step goal yesterday... while sitting on the couch, listening to an audiobook and crocheting all afternoon.
I'll take it.
I hope smart watches never get smarter 🀣🀣
