So today I taught more theories of learning and we got to incentives. I half-joked that "in a younger class I'd bring candies, you're all too old for that, right?"

Things due this week apart from various lecture slides: audit matters. Am checking audit files for both MA/BA courses as the other quality coordinator is on maternity leave. But I can probably do it. I made a checklist template. Also have post-peer review revisions due like, now. Class prep first!

For Tower of the Rosewater Goblet it is slightly easier because I have decided to lean on my strengths as an artist: abstract and stylised art.

I was laid off from Teen Vogue this week, alongside multiple other phenomenal team members.

At our Summit, I was asked how it felt to be 1 of 2 Black women left and what that meant for representation. Now, there are no Black women at Teen Vogue and that is incredibly painful to think about.

Retired as a designer, not an author and you should all go buy her books because she's the best!

Doing the Rosemirror cover is going to be a challenge because I need to match the aesthetics brought by J. Kathleen Cheney to the cover of Watermyth. I am really sad she's retired because she was an amazing designer (and person, and author). She had an excellent work ethic and honesty in her work.

So I mostly stopped posting composing-related stuff here and re my music practice (mostly because I have been practising less ☹️ ). The pluses of that: less pressure/stress/impostor syndrome. The negatives aren't worth commenting on. But I don't need to announce every composing thing I do!

At least my extreme fatigue causing me to skip on practising music for more than a week has not done *too much* damage, mysteriously. So I hopefully may yet be exam-ready. I don't hate my playing so that's a plus.

Down to the wire today. Two things due plus I'm teaching a masters class this afternoon.

No-Fuss Focaccia Light, soft, no-knead yeast bread - the easiest focaccia bread you'll ever bake!

I'm looking for recommendations for a focaccia recipe that

1. doesn't use the "stretch and fold" method (ie not the 3 Doughs one 😔)
2. doesn't use sourdough starter
3. bakes in a 9x13" pan

My go-to has been King Arthur's No-Fuss Focaccia/Blitz Bread but I feel like there are better ones out there?
