The presidential hopeful was more taciturn today at the media's questioning.

"What do you feel is the most important issue facing kids today?"

"Food. Good food. And homework."

"How do you feel about our current educational system?"

"School is too long and there's too much homework. I would change that. For example school wouldn't start until maybe nine o'clock and we would have way less homework. This is because it is stressful and stress is bad for you."

"Where do you stand on immigration?"

"As long as nobody is hurting anybody everybody would be welcome. I feel that way because there's no reason people shouldn't be allowed to come here if they are nice."

"Should kids have to pay for school lunch?"

"Well I know some people can't afford enough food and being hungry sucks. I would make it so all kids had free breakfast and lunch from school so they could at least have some good food."

"How would you protect our natural resources?"

"Protecting the environment is important because trees give us oxygen, so I would hire a hundred people to be tree protectors. I would also make it illegal to cut down trees at all."

My nine-year-old wants to be president. I ask him questions to help him practice engaging with constituents.
