I am thrilled to announce that I am running for re-election for Edmonton City Council to represent the incredible people of #WardMΓ©tis, and all Edmontonians.

I love this city, and I’m ready to continue building a sustainable, equitable, and prosperous Edmonton for everyone.

Campaigns are powered by people and it was so special to get together with the ones who helped us win in 2021 and are ready to do it again. I am deeply grateful to have the support of community leaders who serve our city in diverse and important ways, a number of whom we heard from on Saturday.

This past weekend, we gathered together with friends, neighbours, and volunteers to kick off my re-election campaign for City Council!

It was an opportunity to reconnect and reflect on what we have accomplished together and to share our vision for where we can go from here. #yeg #WardMΓ©tis

Mickey Amery is in a clear conflict of interest and that’s simply not acceptable.

Amery cannot be trusted to oversee government legal strategy or allocate taxpayer dollars in any investigation or lawsuit that could directly impact his own personal friend and family member.

She silenced whistleblowers.
She blocked the Auditor General.
She fired the CEO.
Then she fired the entire AHS Board.

This isn’t mismanagement.
πŸ“£It’s a pattern of dangerous behaviour πŸ“£

In a country as wealthy as ours, no one should go hungry.

That’s why New Democrats will cap the cost of food and essentials.

Does this Premier think being portrayed as a MAGA supporter in the United States is a good thing for Alberta and Canada?

Albertans are against coal-mining in the Eastern Slopes.

I’m grateful to the ranchers of southern Alberta who invited me to see how the land, air and water they love is at risk because of the UCP’s plans to allow our Rocky Mountains to be mined for coal.

Most of all, Blake is BY FAR the best MP I have ever had. He leads with kindness, he is *extremely* accessible to his constituents, & he is truly beloved in this riding.

He is an extremely strong candidate, so please don't let anyone lie to you & tell you that *he* is the one splitting the vote.

11.04.2025 22:57 β€” πŸ‘ 9    πŸ” 5    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

During the last election, the Liberal candidate continued to insist that it was Blake who was splitting the vote. They only ended up with 14%, but it was almost enough to hand the seat to the Conservative candidate. Let's not go down this road again please.

And if you want the Liberals to form government, one of the worst things you could do *in this riding* would be to vote for the Liberal candidate--it'll split the vote and hand the seat to the Conservative candidate. Why give your biggest competition an extra seat?

11.04.2025 22:48 β€” πŸ‘ 8    πŸ” 4    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

If you're an NDP supporter, of course vote for Blake.

11.04.2025 22:47 β€” πŸ‘ 7    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

This is great messaging. To be clear, a vote for Blake *is* the strategic vote in Edmonton Griesbach.

Totally Blake Desjarlais. He's proven himself in the past term to be a strong representative for Greisbach.

Its interesting watching Diotte signs go up as if the same people weren’t calling him β€œAn Empty Shirt 1 year short of his lifelong pension” in 2021πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

By her own admission, The Premier wasn’t able to sit down with any actual decision makers.

Instead, she continues to sit down with extremists, undermines our sovereignty, and encourages foreign interference in our Canadian election.

Smith’s efforts to court American conservatives continue this week as she flies to Florida to meet with far-right extremist Ben Shapiroβ€”despite not meeting with Canada’s premiers in person on Friday.

25.03.2025 21:55 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 2    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Over the weekend, she was caught requesting a pause on tariffsβ€”not to protect Albertans, but to benefit the federal Conservatives in the next election.

β€œIt’s embarrassing and wrong that Danielle Smith is caught on tape calling for political interference from the United States,” said Gray. β€œThe Premier is more interested in placating Trump than in protecting Alberta’s economy.”

25.03.2025 21:55 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 1

As Canada faces the threat of Trump Tariffs, Danielle Smith has been focused on cozying up to President Trump rather than standing up for Alberta workers and businesses.

β€œThe Premier continues to undermine Canada’s sovereignty, putting her pro-Trump, self-serving agenda ahead of the people she was elected to represent,” said Christina Gray, Leader of the Official Opposition of Alberta.

EDMONTON – Today, Alberta’s New Democrats unveiled a large Canadian flag on the Alberta Legislature grounds to show their support for a strong and united Canada. Meanwhile, Premier Danielle Smith continues to put her political ambitions ahead of Alberta’s best interests.

β€œSmith’s actions are unethical and un-Canadian. Albertans deserve better. Canadians deserve better. Unlike Danielle Smith and the UCP, Alberta’s New Democrats are proud to stand up for Canada.”

25.03.2025 21:55 β€” πŸ‘ 6    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

β€œIn a time of economic and political uncertainty, Albertans need ethical, competent government,” said Gray. β€œInstead, Danielle Smith is engaging in self-serving political interference, cozying up to extremists, and abandoning her responsibility to Alberta.
