+1 for Smarty, which I’ve got my youngest on.

Eldest son and I are both on ID, which is slightly better option if you want to add a phone purchase to your plan later.

I’ve done two for very modest projects where we genuinely needed to validate an idea. Both times we went (for us) great guns and it was super fun to fuck about with stretch goals and so forth. It’s nice that the shit bit of a project (money) can be made fun and creative.

You can get the cases for less than a tenner but this chap’s slightly more expensive kit comes with some very useful tools and tbh I wanted to pay him as he made a good video tutorial
