A cartoonish, smiling cloud with arms holds up a sky city under a glass dome. The city is filled with castles and turrets which are connected by ropes. A friendly rock golem saying "yay!" carries a boy on his shoulder in the air. Outside the dome, an unfriendly golem is attacking the dome with a large hammer. A figure inside is shooting arrows at him. A tiny figure wearing a crown is standing on the central castle.
Just for fun: I redrew 7yo's drawing of his sky castle.
Feel pretty pleased with it, although 7yo just came in to tell me the rock golem is supposed to be holding a helicopter, not a hammer. "Can't you tell?"

A smiling, cartoon snail with human legs and a big butt. Text on the image reads, "can't stop me".
I'm constantly drawing things where I think "wow this is the dumbest thing I've ever drawn", and then I draw an even more dumb thing.

Thank you! I just took my SVG and old sweatshirt over to the studio and they machine embroidered it for me. Probably other embroidery places would do this as well but it never occurred to me to ask!
It is addicting and now I want more.

An olive green sweatshirt, folded up. There is a large embroidered design on it of the words "GOOD BOYS" spelled out by light pink cartoon worms. A small cardboard tag has been attached that says "Mack and Rose".
I got my "good boys" worms embroidered on one of my old sweatshirts and I am so excited to be wearing my own art!
Embroidery done locally Glasgow studio Mack & Rose, their commitment to recycling old clothes is incredible.

I finished reading SPOCK’S WORLD by @diane.dianeduane.com last night with my Star Trek book club and the line that knocked us all flat on our asses was when a smug Vulcan logic bro says “the data speaks for itself,” and Bones replies “NO data speaks for itself. data just lies there. PEOPLE speak.”

An asymmetric stained glass panel of the Water of Leith. Painted panes show ferns and thistle heads. The water flows along under a stylized bridge with hills in the background.
The Water of Leith - a beautiful bit of art made for us by Andrea Heins from Jangling Space.

A handmade notebook in the process of being bound with dark red thread. The cover has a stylized image of Sonic the Hedgehog, blocked in by two bands of washi tape with a drawing of city rooftops. Some dividers in the shape of Sonic's rings are sticking out of the top.
Sonic notebook for 7yo so he doesn't feel left out.
I destroyed two needles making this which I think means I get to buy an awl?! (Ah the joys of gearing up for a new hobby!!)

A close up of a bright yellow paper notebook with a sewn red binding in a Japanese style. The front is decorated with some illustrated alphabet letters.
A photo of the interior of the book. One page has an illustration in dark colours of wolves howling with blank speech bubbles coming out of their mouths. The facing page has an illustration of four partially finished portraits with suggestions to add the missing components.
I was sick of all our half-used activity books that I can't bear to throw out because they are too expensive, so I have turned 5 of them into 1 new book for 3yo. I find these things too prescriptive so I've just cut out the pictures I liked best and removed most of the instructions.

A pencil drawing of a cartoonish, smiling snail, with a butt and two human legs.
7yo said to me, "If snails had legs, they could run as fast as humans."
If this thought has to live in my head, then I think it should be in everyone else's, too.

A poorly made clay figurine which looks a little bit like Sonic the Hedgehog and a little bit like the Blue Badger from Ace Attorney.
Making tiny models of Sonic the Hedgehog with 7yo today, but I think I accidentally made Blue Badger instead.

A stuffed toy of an anthropomorphic blue cat wearing a pink and blue fuzzy shirt and white and black spotted socks. It is wearing a blue tote bag that has a small black cat tucked inside.

A view of a woman's legs clad in a brightly printed lilac and blue tracksuit with a cartoon cat pattern. Her feet are crossed and resting on top of an old wooden box. In the background is a peaceful view of the top of an old stone house and trees out the windows.

A watercolour painting of the East Lothian coastline in Scotland. Sections have been highlighted in coloured pencil. The scene shows brownish red crags fading to a flat beach, with seaweed and rock pools. A bright green grassy hill is in the foreground.

A sock toy of a samurai/ronin rabbit. His ears are up in a chonmage. He is wearing a textured black outfit with a black and white underrobe and a white haori patterned with a Japanese design (also a sock). He has little green sandals and a carrot katana.
My latest sock pal Ronin Rabbit just rolled into town, ready to fight on the behalf of justice.
