The idea of a budget Mac is odd to me. Buying a 3-4 year old used Mac will still be less expensive, and you will probably get the same life out of it. I have a few older MacBooks with Linux on them, and they run fine. Hardware lasts; it is the software that will EOL on ya.

I did three vaccines today (Flu, Covid, and Pneumonia), the pharmacist double and double checked, and was really concerned I would be out of it tomorrow. This is what living on the edge is like when you are 50. (It was incredibly kind of her to check with me.)
