We HAVE to shut the government down, because right now, the government is deeply, deeply broken. We can’t just keep running alongside the villains.
STOP.
I support federal workers. I don’t want them to go without a paycheck because of a government shutdown.
But look around, people. They’re getting fired by the thousands. If we don’t draw the line and demand BIG change NOW, things will just keep getting worse.
I’m looking forward to seeing what the economic impact is, but remember, we know the long-term economic impact of the strike won’t matter much, but that’s not the point.
We are SHOWING Bezos et al that our collective power IS REAL.
Stay strong, friends. 💪
We need strong leadership. You’re doing great, but we need more. You may need to step outside the traditional role of a politician, because what we’re doing isn’t getting results fast enough. What will be left of our country by the time we retake Congress?
