I think if I were the O's I'd want a bigger chunk of that deal paid up front prior to the expiration of the CBA. Shrink the AAV on the back end in case there is a salary cap in 2027 and beyond.

The fact that you've gotta buy seven more games to get full member benefits is the main thing to me. If they offered the same benefits for the 10-game plan I think it would be much more attractive.

It does seem like the benefits are going to be great for *most* of the 29- or 81-gamers. It's those who currently have, or wanted shorter plans who get the shaft.

Once again the Orioles fans are demonstrating that they don't care how many people they can get to the ballpark; only how much the ones they do get are willing to spend. If you have a Flex membership or you're a 13-game plan holder, this new rollout actually disincentivizes you to renew your plan.

If not for the membership benefits, there's just no reason to buy this package when tickets on the secondary market are often available below retail anyway.

So now we need to buy a minimum of two seats to seven extra games before we even get full membership benefits? Sheesh.

All I'm reading only mentions 20, 40, and full season plans. Where did you see a 10 game plan?

Pretty funny that in the year they moved the LF wall back in, the Orioles may finish the season without a player hitting 20 HR for the first time since 2001. Almost like signing good players is a better strategy than ripping the ballpark apart and putting it back together every couple years.
