I think anyone who seriously wants to understand why politics in the UK is the way it currently is can really only do so by acknowledging what the EHRC definition of antisemitism was actually designed to do and what its cumulative political effects were

The idea that Labour was "demoralised" and "exhausted by factional feuding" in 2020 hardly tallies with the triumphalism of the party right (and barely-concealed satisfaction at the 2019 defeat) or the vigour with which the subsequent purge of the left was pursued.

Hard not to conclude there are many members/ supporters of the Labour Party that have somehow remained blissfully unaware of all the despicable factional shenanigans of the past 3 years.

He's describing both Reform AND the Greens when he talks about 'populism' here. He qualifies that Reform may be even the more worrying of the two. What norms and standards do the Greens threaten exactly? What Standards have the LP upheld over the past 3 years?

If the media's relationship with politicians was a form of parenting, it would be supporting your kids to do absolutely anything they want and then suddenly introducing corporal punishment when it goes that little bit too far.
