Everyone in the White House involved in any way with that vile, sickening racist Trump post must be fired immediately: everyone in the communications department, everyone in the press office, every deputy chief of staff, everyone involved up and down the line. Not one more tax dollar for this filth.

I hate that Dems are just conceding the whole premise of mass deportation and instead dithering about techniques and the impact on US citizens

Bunch of uni admins are thanking their lucky stars today that their faculty's research was beneath Epstein's notice.
Still, I hope JE prompts all universities to reflect on how to fund research w/o compromising values, particularly as federal & state funding shrinks and donors play larger role.

Will the SAVE Act make it harder for married women to vote? We ask legal experts
Legal experts say states could help married women who have changed their last names by accepting documents like a legal decree or a marriage certificate, but it might not fix the issue for all.
People are worried about ICE or military activity suppressing Dem votes in midterms but I think SAVE Act is greater threat.
If it passes, millions of women & poorer Americans will be unable to vote.
Voting will be slower, depressing participation and widening race & income-based wait time gaps.

Exactly. There's must-pass funding legislation going through Congress right now. If Tillis et al. aren't willing to put a Greenland condition on that bill, this is all cheap talk. (And Dems need to be pushing Republicans by insisting on conditions to stop Minnesota-type abuses.)

Why Black Families Fall Through the Safety Net
For most of the last 20 years, policymakers and researchers have stressed the importance of a two-parent home for childrenβs success. New research complicates conventional wisdom.
Why do Black kids in nuclear families struggle to succeed while white kids in these families flourish?
What do these inequalities tell us about the power & limits of the two-parent family?
