Historically, monks walk when societies are fractured & warnings are ignored. This is not spectacle or protest theater. It is a moral response to rising dehumanization, political cruelty, & social strain. They are ordained Buddhist monks on an actual monastic pilgrimage. This is serious & telling.

The Walk for Peace by the monks is cathartic and needed in this year of unnecessary chaos. They used to travel to different countries but now making a trek from TX to DC akin to the 1961 Freedom Riders Route. Protect them at all costs. 🙏
