Haha, the one thing I will miss on Spotify is my 'night rain' compilation which I now can't sleep without - but I'm sure there will be rain recordings in other places.

I've seen qubuz mentioned a few places today so will have a look. I also have a tidal account but I haven't really used it. My head starts to melt a bit when I try to figure out what's best for everyone x

I use Spotify - mainly when I'm driving & because I haven't figured out how to connect anything else to my media player. I also use it to check out new music a lot. I've cancelled my subs tonight though and will see how that affects my listening when I get cut off in a few weeks.

Tomorrow is release day for the first single from my next album, Early Songs, Of Late!

The Vallum, by Robert Dallas Gray 10 track album

I haven't properly sat down and listened to this album for a while - instant goosebumps.

I've seen Kathryn Joseph 4 times this year and each night was wonderful but I think the Tolbooth gig, celebrating 10 years of this album, was one of those extra special nights.

Just a bit obsessive😃 - glad no-one is counting the plays of actual physical copies.
I've apparently listened to 303 genres but I'd be struggling to name 10 - I'm not big on categorising music.

RDS (aka RDG) knows where all the good tunes are so if you're doing #BandcampFriday tomorrow here's a wee starter ...

Replied to this over on IG but to add - we all need to think about what's the best way to support the bands we love - mostly that's buying music and going to shows but also sharing on (good-ish🙃)social media to spread the word. In this precarious world we need to hold on to the good stuff.

Having a wee compilation play - from a few 🙃 years back.
Most of these songs stir a strong memory, some are - wtf?! The wean did good though.

1972 Graham & Morton in Stirling didn't have a copy of Rockin' Robin so I ended up in the listening booth with Without You by Nilsson - & I bought it.

I love Last Christmas. One of the few festive songs that doesn't irritate me if I hear it a lot. I always feel George's 'someone special' has sarcastic tone - like it's a line that's been thrown at him before and he's tossing it back.
The doc last year was great too.
