Progress on the new drive-thru Wells Fargo at the SE corner of Western and Clybourn.

This sailed through the ZBA while the fast food drive-thru proposal directly across Western was withdrawn after opposition.

The difference? One side of Western is in the 32nd ward and the other is in the 47th.

Spending more now on multimodal transportation options like bikes, buses, and rail can help states save millions or billions in the future that would otherwise be spent on costly car-centric roadway infrastructure.

I want to provide you with an update on the next steps for the Evanston Police Department regarding the third-party footage obtained involving the
male individual detained by federal agents and transported to the FBI Chicago Field Office.
Earlier today, I spoke with the individual9s father, , who reported that his adult son, , has since been released. advised that
sustained injuries and, upon release, was transported to a hospital for treatment. He expressed appreciation for EPD9s assistance and
inquired about what further support we could provide. I explained that I would be completing a Miscellaneous Investigation report to document
9s account and injuries, which may assist him and his family, who have retained legal counsel. stated that would be reaching
out to me directly.
I have now reviewed most of the available footage related to this incident. Based on that review, I believe this matter does not fall under the
jurisdiction of the Cook County State9s Attorney9s Office. Instead, the appropriate venue for reporting this activity will be the U.S. Attorney9s
Office Civil Rights Division. The footage primarily shows individuals arrested for on-view offenses, not warrant-based arrests. Upon
completion of our documentation, I will forward all relevant evidence to the U.S. Attorney9s Office for their review

NEW: I've obtained emails from Evanston police on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 that show the Evanston Police chief said she would refer footage of the violent Halloween clash between federal border patrol agents and Evanston residents to the U.S. Attorney's Office Civil Rights Division for review

Traffic congestion costs each trucker thousands of dollars a year A new study reveals that the costs of traffic congestion are rising despite actual time spent in traffic delays decreasing.

According to the non-profit American Transportation Research Institute "An inefficient interstate system drives up the costs of shipping, which trickles down to the consumer."

*tiniest violin* how are "business" people in charge of such massive budgets so bad managing money. SMH Business in America means the gov has to subsidize everything you do? I thought quicker truck times saved money on gas and time.

Imagine a quiet leisurely stroll across Grant Park with the sound of hoots from a horned owl in the tree's. We must close the superfluous roads! Keeping access to parking makes complete sense, but why keep wide "pleasure drive" roads when we could have quiet cozy walking paths and a busway instead.

Americans Are Defaulting on Car Loans at an Alarming Rate Across the US, people are increasingly defaulting on their car loans β€” a dire economic indicator because these loans are usually the last payment Americans are willing to miss. So not only does the massive transit package passed last night fill the funding gap, it *boosts* ops funding by roughly the size of the gap, eliminates parking minimums within a half mile of rail stations, and gives the new regional transit board sweeping powers to do public development
