Border Patrol said it targeted known criminals in Kern County. But it had no record on 77 of 78 arrestees Border Patrol said it had a list of targets for its high-profile January raid, but it had a record for just one of the 78 people it arrested.

Border Patrol agents detained people outside of a Home Depot and a convenience store. They pulled over drivers on roads running between farms. Only 1 person out of the 78 detained had a prior criminal or immigration history, data show.

Doug Collins’s Cancel Culture The VA secretary is targeting the wrong contracts to eliminate waste and inefficiency.

To make the VA more efficient, you could stop outsourcing health care, which is more expensive & lower quality. Or you could stop the privatization of its electronic medical record system, a costly boondoggle.
Instead, Doug Collins fired the researcher evaluating that medical record upgrade.

one thing i keep thinking about is how there is simply no way to design a constitutional system that can resist authoritarian incursion if participants in that system do not actually care that much
