We meet an entirely different man. Old, jaded, broken, and waiting for the end. Luke's arc may not have been what some people wanted, but it was another instance of Lucas' ideal of history rhyming. And he got to stand down the entire First Order with a laser sword.

For those who don't like Luke's portrayal in TLJ because it's not who he would be, remember that he mirrors Yoda's journey after RotJ. He has his life's greatest failure and runs away to exile himself, only to have a short tutelage of the last remaining Jedi and save the galaxy. Just like Yoda,

Yeah, hes basically just unkillable, but if you compare that to other characters, I dont see how he can be a threat to someone like Doom or any other Marvel badguy without making it silly

I enjoyed DvW, but I also don't think there's more for that character to do. The idea that Deadpool would be part of some serious Avengers story is very silly and would probably pull me out of the film (at least with the way Reynold's Deadpool behaves)

Vaush has been unwatchable for a loooong time. Even if I agree with the vast majority of things he says, he's an insufferable chud

In short, this was phenomenal. It's an absolute blast of a superhero movie that has a lot of heart and joy mixed in with the quirky fun humor you'd expect from a Gunn film.
