My heart rate spike with the snake encounter

All the other spikes clearly associated with running uphill, but not that one 😅

(that said had I stomped on it while running I'm sure I would have got a good venom dose 😅)

With good first aid though (aka a pressure and immobilization bandage) you can effectively stop or severely restrict the absorption of the venom and buy yourself a lot more time.

No real clear answer for that. If envenomated, the sooner the better as antivenom works best at preventing further toxic effects rather than reversing effects already present

But the majority of snake bites patients are envenomated. It's metabolically costly for the snake to make. They save it.
