Exactly, that's why I said "to some degree". Keep the method, change the message. There is a LOT left and centrist parties have to learn from MAGA, amongst them how to challenge the anger that seems to be increasing pretty much everywhere.

I would argue that fascism requires the demand that the individual subjugates themselves to the need of the collective, which I honestly do not see in MAGA. Anti-conservatism also tends to be included, which makes Franco, for example, not fascist. But, again, there are different definitions.

So, in fact you are not yet living under a totalitarian government. But we might get there. Exactly my point.

Fascism is a form of totalitarian government that has a few additional characteristics. Trump and MAGA are, in my opinion, not fascists, but have totalitarian tendencies. You may be resisting *the move* towards totalitarianism. You are not resisting a totalitarian regime.
