I want to thank our downstairs neighbor for deciding that today, in its <85 degree temps, was the best day to dump a trash bin full of wet, rotted leaves on our driveway and then do nothing with them. Of note, today was also garbage day. The leaves were not thrown out.

Between the Chess revival and Survivor 50, this has been a weird day for casting announcements.

25 years ago today (it was a Tuesday) I was driven after school to Coconuts (or Strawberries, I don’t remember when it switched) to pick up the new Britney CD. Today I celebrated by getting the vinyl delivered and I’m 13 again in my room listening on my boombox.

This remix should receive partial credit for me deciding to fully commit to being gay.

It’s because I’m barely looking at them. If I look too hard they feel smothered and will wither.

Things I don’t expect in our neighborhood: a LOUD 11pm sing a long rendition of The Power of Love. I love it and hate it at the same time.

I’m on Day 3 of 5 on the West Coast and I’m still not acclimating to the time change. At this point, I have two more days of waking up at 5am and going to bed at 9pm. 🤷‍♂️
