Tonight I was honored with an interview with Curtis and Hayden of the Ozarks Folk Chronicles podcast. We were well supervised by the one and only Noxi. We had a great time and I’ll let you all know when it is released.

Today I helped open the Ozarks Studies Symposium with a reading from “Yellow Jack and Turpentine”. It was an honor to be on panel with other Ozarkers an creative writers.

One of the highlights of being an author is meeting with readers. This past week I had the pleasure of meeting with a book club that study “Yellow Jack and Turpentine”! I hope they had as much fun as I did.

I had the pleasure to visit the oldest synagogue in Glasgow, which is a stunning example of Victorian architecture. While the congregation is tiny, they do still use this sanctuary for 500.

Omgosh, every archive is like Narnia.

Penske has banned them from renting from the company ever again.

“Kehila Kedosha”, the documentary about the Jewish community in Springfield, Missouri won First Place in the Documentary category at the Missouri Broadcasters Association Awards! So proud of the director/writer/producer Dax Bedell who did an amazing job!

Jewish American Heritage Month fact: Jewish have fought in every military action that the U.S. participated in.

I had a lovely time with a group of Temple Israel of Springfield members celebrating Jewish American Heritage month with a tour of Jewish downtown Springfield, Missouri.

And they didn’t have courage or courtesy to tell you exactly why you were banned. 🤬

I don’t think I’ve ever met Rachael Sirianni in person, but we’ve long been connected through an FB group in which we are both active. What she has to say about her work is a must-read, and both heartbreaking and infuriating. There’s a longer version on FB which I have reposted there…

I am so excited to finally meet Valerie Frankel who publishes a huge amount in Jewish science fiction. I’ve been honored to publish in a number of her edited tombs…and hope to do more work with her.

I’m on a train in California to meet my niece and have a small pad in my purse to write and a pen my husband burned a love note on. Life is good. Write when you are inspired, my friends.
