Our generation failed!!” - He made T-shirts for his regular 6am retiree gym crew with “Mary Appreciation Day” on them bc he felt like some of the guys were teasing Mary a little too much and suggested they have a day to celebrate her…since they all do enjoy each others company. - He was reading through old Father’s Day cards from his kids this morning, got choked up, and said it’s been an honor to be a dad, bc he didn’t get a good one.

I called my dad today for Father’s Day. He talked for 2 hours straight. Here are some of the very earnest highlights. Overall, I think I got pretty lucky in the dad department.

Maybe, but we’re not even close to an election and this feels more about engaging the public in any way and showing that there are some people currently in congress who want to stand up and fight. If you want to call that nostalgia rather than good strategy then fine.
