So, one would think that strengthening the emissions rules for wood stoves is a no-brainer, right? less pollution, less asthma for children and elderly consumers and less climate harm. Win-win-win.
But the industry sees it differently. Oh, well...

🫢Nope. wrong. It's renewable, but it is far from being climate-neutral, and it is already the #1 source of air pollution in Europe. Bummer.

The Commission proposal for the next long-term EU budget aka MFF just dropped. Its overall volume increases very moderately, but the proposal contains sweeping changes to the way the EU spends money and to budget's priorities.

Here is my first quick take:

At its core is a €700 billion pledge to import U.S. fossil fuels and nuclear energy over the next three years - fundamentally incompatible with the EU’s 2030 climate targets.
