It's also worth considering that rounds being 6 seconds is a pretty recent invention, and that for most of the games history it was "as long as it takes" (It took until the second edition of AD&D for TSR to even try and *suggest* a standard time)

If you're into what Shadowdark is selling theme-wise, I'd reccomend AD&D 2e! It's a bit of a steep learning curve, but once you sink your teeth into it, it has far more to offer than most modern TTRPGs!
