The fact that your org doesn't value meetings and doesn't put any effort into making them more effective is a symptom of a broader pattern of ignoring feminized "glue work" in favor of Big Masculine Outputs.

The cake was made by Grand Hyatt Taipei, which makes the most creative and delicious cakes imo. This Hyatt is a great example of Taiwanese branches of global companies being super extra and just 💯. Another more popular example is our 7-11, but that deserves its own post.

Happy mother’s day! To celebrate, my brother and I pre-ordered my mom a cake based on the Taiwanese national treasure, the Jadeite Cabbage. It is a symbol of auspiciousness and longevity, which is exactly the vibe we are going for on this day and everyday for our mother 🥬

This has brought me so much joy and encouragement! What a lovely reminder that wonderful things do take time and consistent care to happen, and sometimes we cant even anticipate it.

Our elephant ear sprung up this new “limb”… I then learned that it is actually a flower bud! We have had it for 4 yrs and didn’t even know it *could* flower. Apparently this happens when the plant is mature, cosy & thriving. 😌🌱
