I don't that happened in the old NBC Mystery night ones (same era as Columbo) - Banacek, McCloud, McMillan & Wife, and Madigan. Also Kojak. But it was a long time ago since I saw those so I might be wrong.

My 7th grade teacher kept grading me down, saying “sounds copied”. (It was not.) so in 8th grade I rewrote all my papers to have mistakes. And then when the teacher corrected one, I’d remove that from the “mistakes” for next paper. She thought she was doing a good job improving my writing.

I checked a couple. John Lewis and MLK Jr were older than Boomers. And that’s just the first 2 I checked. I don’t know who you consider to be in the entire 60s Civil Rights Movement, but I definitely include them. I know of others too. I don’t know where you folks are learning your history….

One last thing. As I said before, Boomers should have stepped down or be stepping down in government due to their age. But since I find it impossible to believe that they controlled the government from their ages of unborn-15 through their ages of 5-24, I'm going to leave this conversation.

Current boomers (both parties) in the government are certainly a problem. But controlling the government since the 60s? Nixon was elected 68 and 72. And in the mid 70s, boomers were constantly referred to as an annoying problem that would have to be dealt with, because of their size.

Nixon was the Great Generation. Their children were (usually) the Silent Generation. I certainly agree that Nixon was bad. But I’m not sure why you’re equating Boomers with the GOP. Still doesn’t change that Boomers should have been stepping down for the last 20 years. Which is my point.

Uh. Boomers have not been controlling policy for 60 years. The oldest boomer would have been 20. And 20-year-olds were not running the government. The Silent Generation was still running things in the 80s and 90s. And I agree that younger Boomers should be stepping down and older Boomers gone.

I think someone said it’s the order of the list of trade imbalances on Wikipedia. (I have not checked that.)
