Well articulated. I worry about the incentives moving forward for putting out good info onto the web. The incentive for putting out *good* info was low pre-AI... but even weaker now.

Could you comment on the role of short term renewable supply and demand *forecasting* required to make smart grid balancing work? Are forecast products out there and are they good? I’m curious how much numerical weather prediction ends up mattering for this market.

I’ve read the article and I don’t think there is an error in the original report. I suppose it does highlight how the question of “how much water does ai use” is actually a complicated question. Accounting for evaporation from reservoirs is a real thing!
