I think culturally, Americans have a tendency to view themselves as the scrappy underdogs no matter what and this is toxic when you are the most powerful country ever in a world you ordered to benefit yourself. Leads to a self-destructive victimhood complex from a position of privilege.

Using politically malleable language like "terrorist sympathizer" to go after immigrants does not fight antisemitism.

Doing this while elevating antisemitism, as this administration is doing, does not fight antisemitism.
