What are you even trying to convey with that statement?

Risk is different in different road situations / intersection types, is that what you're trying to say?

Yes, turns where you are turning across oncoming traffic are generally more dangerous. That's why there are turn arrows, and turning bays.

However, saying that travelling through 5 intersections instead of doing 1 turn is safer, I will not believe without data. It also has other cons, as mentioned.

If you take three rights instead of a left, you are exposing yourself to five intersections instead of one (you have to travel through that first intersection twice, as well as your three right turns). If you think that is safer, you do you. But it doesn't sound safer to me.

Yep, not sure why this changes whether you turn right or left.

Circumnavigating a whole block (some blocks are quite large)to avoid turning a particular direction just exposes you to more hazards. And if everyone did it it would noticably increase traffic volumes.
