The US immigration system is a beast to navigate. Securing representation to guide someone through the system is prohibitively expensive for most. There are band aids in place w/ amazing legal aid non-profits, but there are simply not enough to meet the need. Systemic reform is sorely needed.

Call me cynical, but if the Epstein scandal were about men abusing and trafficking boys & young men, we'd be seeing a very different response. The misogyny, homophobia, and overall disgusting nature of the GOP astounds me. As well as the general public's weird non-response to atrocities in general.

Will everyone quit and roll over? The law firms, media companies, universities, government employees. Will you all cling to what you have and hope you can just ride it out, Republic be damned? Shame on all of you who don’t stand up, just remember we will never forget.

Current timeline… January 6th criminals are pardoned tourists (and most likely current ICE thugs), while American citizens peacefully protesting/documenting the kidnappings of our neighbors are enemies of the federal government. WTF.

If this old white lady was a dog. Bwahahahahaha. Point of fact, I did just finish an evening float in my little oasis. Only the threat of a fierce thunderstorm ended the delightful float sesh.

I almost died. I relied fully on care from others to survive for six months. I had to learn to walk again. I had to learn life on the new terms my body was given. I did it. I am still here. I am thriving. Think you can knock me down? You ain’t got nothing. I stared death in the face and I won.

The world is both beautiful and horrifying. If you are lucky, you get a bit of both in your lifetime.
