In my Kobo, it's under Energy saving and privacy, and it says "Show info panel on full screen covers" under the Sleep and Power Off header. I toggled that off.

Did you know that you can remove that little "Sleeping" window from the Settings? Of course maybe you just prefer to have it! I liked seeing just the whole cover so I turned it off.

The manga covers will often have "character design by" credit on the cover, which often is the LN illustrator. For instance, The Apothecary Diaries manga has this credit. I admit I've sometimes assumed the credit means the LN illustrator, and not checked into it, but it is quite often the case!

I read with a Kobo, but had a lot of Amazon ebooks from beforetimes that I hadn't backed up yet. Did it today.

I have an older Kobo Libra, and I really like the buttons! I used to have a Kindle with no buttons.

Did you notice that Bookshop org says you have to read their ebooks on their app or via a browser (unless the book is DRM-free)? So apparently you can't just buy an epub and transfer it to your Kobo.

I was also coming here to maybe suggest Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel or The Girl with All the Gifts by M. R. Carey! Then I was thinking The Book of Phoenix by Nnedi Okorafor, but Mel above suggested Who Fears Death (haven't read that one, but the two books are linked).

I read the first trilogy in the nineties, Tawny Man back when it came out, and have reread a couple of times. ♥️ For some reason I've just been nervous about picking this trilogy up, but I'm finally doing it!
