So, if I'm reading this right, consciousness is about making sense and analysing the information our nervous system feeds into the brain in order to make better use of similar information in the future. From my limited studies, it makes me think about what our adaptive immune system does.

This deserves copy all on its own. A politician who sees you, then empathises, and seeks solutions to make you comfortable and enable your participation is something we need to hear about.

I've always voted for the candidate closest to giving us the best chance of a decent society and a liveable planet and can win the seat. I couldn't vote for a party that treats people so cruelly. I'm actually feeling really alarmed about how this is going to affect friends and neighbours.

The brain can be trained, especially whilst young, but neuroplasticity decreases with age. Einstein had many more neural connections than most people, though it's unknown if those connections were the result of doing complex work or what enabled him to do such complex work.

Penny pinching, petroleum pleasing. She really needs to look at the work people like @brenttoderian.bsky.social has done and how much money cycling saves the state and benefits the people in a multitude of ways.

I and others voted Labour because we thought he would be the calm, pragmatic, and honest person we needed to sort out the mess and bring back regulations and consequences for breaking them. They've been swayed by lobbyists and hostile media.

I wanted someone who would bring back proper oversight and upholding of regulations with the funding to do it and sanctions harsh enough to force businesses to uphold them. Pollution, finance, social media scammers, dodgy builders, and slum landlords, all solved with proper regulations and oversight

There were no reported negative health impacts of the drug in this cohort either. Giving children the time to understand themselves and choose their next steps has been politicised.

Well, it wasn't exactly fun in the 00s going out when the 'lads' at the local had been used to drinking 7 pints 'no problem' and then suddenly they were very problematic, and some continue to be, because they "drink 7 pints". So even though it is just about profits, it's a good thing.

I knew kids from my son's LGBTQ+ youth group who were on the Tavistock waiting list a decade ago. The list was so long that they were already well into puberty and suffering as a result long before getting an appointment. The blockers are used for other conditions and deemed safe.

When Evan Davis describes Lord Chris Patten as a voice on the left, and Tory MPs are likening the BBC the Taliban, I think it's time for serious public discussion about how far right the Conservative Party have shifted.

My grandad joined the Navy as a teenager in WWl. He had shrapnel wounds but never spoke about it. My FiL was in the Navy in WWII. The first time I met him, he shared stories about it, much to the shock of his family, who'd never heard him speak about his experiences before.

I have questions about what they think is a "secure marriage". My marriage broke down when I realised my husband wasn't my partner; he was my 'first child'. Sex was completely out of the question from then. If he'd been financially competent, we'd have managed a few more years together.
