It's been a while, but if memory serves, Niamh did in fact eventually come back for Demi on that stage, I think. Someone did, and I think it was her, no?

I was literally just about to write a post asking where Gaia has been all season. Glad she's back in the saddle!

I've been realizing when I do serious KOM climb attempts, if at the midpoint I am strongly considering quitting, that is a good sign that I'm going hard enough. The reptile part of my brain can be pretty good at sounding logical when it tries to get me to stop: "You went out too hard, just quit."

This sounds more like an overuse injury not damage from his crash several stages earlier, no?

20 riders from UAE with wins this year, contributing to approx. 100 wins. Statistically, has a team ever been close to this dominant in the history of the sport?

And from what I saw, Kastelijn really worked quite hard to bring the Dutch "teammates" back to van anrooij, which is puzzling. Maybe she thought she could win herself and they were all just riding for themselves? Traditionally, teamwork is less of a thing in gravel.

Just to add to this, the change in the isotopic composition of atmospheric CO2 is the smoking gun that it's us (in addition to basic mass balance). Volcanic gasses have a different isotopic signature.

I mean, surely there's an antitrust case for a single team having 20 riders win races for a combined (approaching) 100 wins this year. To me, that seems kinda nuts.

Is ten Dam the gravel coach still? I know he used to be, but then got promoted to the coach of the road team. I guess it doesn't matter much in this case, because there are no radios.

Typically a scientific investigation seeks to test a hypothesis by doing experiments and generating data or gathering evidence. Those results could either support or contradict/falsify the hypothesis (or they could be inconclusive). "Making the proof" is not a part of science.
