Shortly after I posted this, the vet called to say Taco had taken a turn. I went back to the hospital to say goodbye. It was his time, and though I’m sad his final days weren’t at home, I’m glad I was at his side at the end. He was an absolute legend of a little dude ❤️

My dog is at the emergency vet, struggling to recover from surgery, and it’s not looking great. I just visited him, then stopped for a greasy lunch to eat my feelings. On the radio, Huey Lewis is playing.
