As we start day 2 of the "Sustainability conference" in Helsinki, with my first session on 'breaking the bubble for good' to discuss the bleak scenario that the collapse of civilization is inevitable I learned of the passing of Jane Goodall. And I cannot help but think...

Today we say goodbye to an inspirational scientist and advocate for human rights, animal welfare, species and environmental protection. The pale blue dot is a lonely but special place we need to take care off.

I am not agreeing with everything his political party wants for us in Finland (he was prime minister before), but I do agree that as a president and his role in the conflict he has been an example for the world... It is a very good speech.
