This man’s suicide is the result of taxpayer-funded state violence. And it’s bigger than merely abolishing ICE.
We need to abolish immigrant “detention centers” (read: prisons).

Anas Al-Sharif the voice of truth you were her melody when they tried to silence every song, her tear when the river ran dry.
And today, they have.
Yeah, you'll see this soon lol.

“If this madness doesn’t end, Gaza will be reduced to ruins, its people’s voices silenced, their faces erased — and history will remember you as silent witnesses to a genocide you chose not to stop.”
Israel just killed him.
The Israeli military just killed him.

Fuck the US and Israel now and forever.
I will only know true happiness of the heart when neither of these fugazi Settler-Colonial projects exist.
They exist only to bring genocide and horror into this world, time and time again, generation after generation.
Wolf howls are heard by a group of people in the mountains, we then pull back to see their camefire. Then time passes, the sun rises, and we cut to a tree with a bird, which then flies away. From Shirato Sanpei's Legend Of Kamui
Magnificent.

These are breathtakingly crafted comics made with such patience.
Shirato Sanpei man, just unbelievable.
The work breathes and flows as beautifully as I've ever seen in a comic.
It's so alive.
Scorsese with glasses praying, gazing, looking slick, then laughing. He's enjoying prime cinema
This is one of those things that's so good that you read it, and then you have to get up and walk around a bit to get the energy out of you.
As you stare into the distance and shake your head while grinning, because gawddamn.
10 pages into Shirato Sanpei's LEGEND OF KAMUI, and this is the real fucking deal.
Instant impact.
A magnificent 8 page opening sequence with no words that takes you along nature and systematically casts man as a ragged animal no different to any other.
Brilliant.
Yeah, it's all addiction mechanics nonsense. Best to be rid of it altogether. Terribly unambitious and insular landscape.
Far more worthwhile and ambitious, and more stylistically varied, fare out there that are more deserving of that time/energy. Makes for a more satisfying experience in the end.
Listen, if you wrote on every undeservingly gassed up book on year end lists, you'd never stop. Best not to concern yourself with that imho.
You do your own thing. That's good.
My dear friend Adham was injured while seeking aid and needs our support more than ever 💜 He's suffered the loss of many close friends, can we rally behind him to offer support?
Please share and donate. Adham means a lot to me and I don't want him to suffer alone 🙏
My dear friend Najwa and her family continue to endure unconscionable hardship and loss 💜🙏 Please donate and share. Support her and her sons so they can survive the horrors of the ongoing genocide

Your time and talents are better served on other, much more deserving material that most others won't give attention to.
The perspective choice here is the unbelievable hubris of a massive ad campaign BEGGING to catch a ban.

A much more curated in-take compared to last year, while being far more varied and broader all at once.
Ditching the entire DM landscape aside from Ram V comics was the right move, too.
My face maps the landscape of hunger; every crease tells the story of nights that passed without food.
This pallor is no coincidence—it is the mark famine leaves on the body.

Yeah, very sad. Somehow Ireland got sold to US tech without the majority of Irish people being aware of it.
