Morning all, spinning guild this morning, we're having an extraordinary agm, it's going to get heated. Taking drop spindle and fibre and will be hiding at the back.
Also taking a coupe of jars of my balm for stings and bites for a lady who finds its the only thing that works on her insect bites 🙂

Aren't start sowing seeds for another month, but the fingers are itching to start as the daffodils are poking their heads through and I can see the start of new growth on the plants in the garden

I like those sorts of days where you just enjoy the company you are with

Morning, hope all are well, not much to report, its not raining and I managed to get some washing hung out and dried yesterday, a first for this year.

Morning, another sunny but cold day, friends driving home from Scotland to Derbyshire are stopping here for lunch. Before they arrive we will be sanding woodwork on the stairs, it's a soul destroying job as the builders made such a bad job to start with. Paint runs everywhere. 😡

Morning all. Well for the 1st time in weeks, the sun is shining, certainly lifts the spirits.
Trip to the chiropractor this morning, then back to sanding down woodwork of the 2nd phase of stairs and landing 😕. Want to get it all done before veg growing gets into full swing.

My dad was a prolific knitter, he taught me and all my friends to knit. But yet friends from the south don't believe men knit

Morning all, beautifully sunny, but cold (-2.7) this morning. Got all my washing done yesterday, now just the mammoth task of ironing it all.
Meeting friends for lunch, they are on their way to Scotland from Derbyshire. We're 1/2 way, hence lunch.

Morning, back home and now tackling the massive pile of washing. Temp here 6° cooler than London and snow is forecast.
We both feel refreshed after our break, we walked over 50miles and ✔️ off 137 blue plaques. Back again at end of April, for nephew's birthday.

Yes we have been lucky with the weather, raining mainly in the evening when we're back at the hotel. We've both enjoyed our break in London

The botanical gardens are beautiful to walk round

Morning all, last full day in London. So far we have ✔️ off 107 blue plaques and walked over 40 miles since Friday.
Today the weather is a bit "iffy" so we might visit a museum.
Meeting nephew for tea again tonight.

We've found that travelling around London outside of rush hour is not too bad, we tend to use the bus more than the tube

Also take echinacea tablets if you can, they help with a cold

Morning all, yesterday we walked from Lambeth to Sothwark Bridges, crossed the river and walked back down the otherside, doing detours to "✔️ off" blue plaques. Today meet with a friend for coffee, tea with nephew, Chelsea Physics Garden & ✔️ off more plaques as we go.

The thing is, the weather is like this so often now, we're just used to it.
Thankfully the snow will not stay too long with all the rain

Had a couple of balls of multi coloured wool left over from a project, so using it to create a "fake" fair isle jumper.
Quite pleased with the effect.

Thankfully ours drains well, but all thus rain in January and ino Feb is getting a bit of a chore

Doing the weekly check on the allotment today, lots to do, but its so wet, thinking growing rice might be a viable option.

High winds, rain and snow on the hills for us in the North East

Morning, surprise surprise its raining with 40mph winds again today. But a day of packing suitcases, early train to London in the morning, there for a week. In no particular order we will be visiting eldest nephew & Chelsea Physics Garden, ticking off blue plaques & walking at least 1 canal.
