Never be scared to mention Brexit. It did make everything immeasurably worse. It did make the country poorer. It was an absolutely ruinous act of self-harm. And you predicted it. You were right. Massively right. You probably won’t be that right again your entire life. Own that. Don’t be shy.

When politicians and media foghorns demand that we don’t talk about Brexit, I always remember these wise words from Martin Samuel (Times journalist) and pledge to honour them.

Just before tomorrow begins - an important message:

Grades 1-3 are not fails. Us or Xs are. Anyone with a 1-3 HAS GOT A GCSE. And for some of those kiddos, a 1 or a 2 or 3 can be a phenomenal result that they deserve to be proud of. Let’s be a bit more responsible in our language.

1. Chunk the model into parts, performing the I do-We do-You do for one chunk before going back to the I do-We do-You do for chunk 2. This prevents cognitive overload from having to remember a large amount of steps/content in their working memories.
