There were 93 homicides in London last year: population 9 million

In New York - population 8.5 million - there were
391.

London's homicide figure is 6 times lower than LA, 9 times lower than Miami, 17 times lower than Chicago.

And it's falling year on year despite the population increasing

'London is world's best city - people claiming it's lawless hate its success' 'The fact that London has again been crowned greatest city in the world disproves everything our critics claim, and they can’t stand it', the London Mayor Sadiq Khan writes

Here’s what you won’t hear from some commentators on social media: in the year to October, London recorded 10,000 fewer violent crimes leading to injury than it did in the twelve months before I was elected.

Dear Mahmood/Labour,

Once the strutting fascist, Yaxley Lennon, is taking credit for your policies, you must know you’ve completely lost your way. You need to get your head out of your arse and your account off X.

Yours

Not boring at all. A great read and a great description of β€˜The many faces of Farage’ and the conflict between his core ideological beliefs and his electioneering position. The fraud exposed!

In case you missed it.

By the way, it's not quite as boring as the title suggests.

Interesting to see so many great British patriots right now begging an American president to bankrupt one of Britain’s last remaining truly national institutions.

Does it seem plausible that THE Trocadero is going to be turned into a Mosque?

It was pretty easy to debunk but I decided to do a deep dive into the reality AND the appalling press coverage

Refugees to face 20-year wait to settle permanently under asylum reforms Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood is expected to announce major reforms to the asylum system on Monday.

The Labour government has released to the media more details of its asylum reforms - to be released on Monday.

Their premise: UK attracts asylum seekers because it is too generous + reducing pull factors will change that.

There is a lot of overspinning from this govt

Brexit detonated our economy and our politics. Since then, our country seems to have lost its mind, veering off to the right, reawakening the racism genie, ruining itself to try to hide the dishonesty and snowballing damage of it all.
And now Farage could be PM ffs.
Mindblowing self-inflicted idiocy

My government is doing things differently.

Free Breakfast clubs supported by Sainsbury's, Weetabix, Morrisons and Magic Breakfast.

More than 23 million free toothbrushes and toothpastes to protect children from tooth decay through our partnership with Colgate UK and Ireland.

Ensuring there's a library in every primary school by the end of this parliament with the National Literacy Trust.

Partnerships like these deliver change where it matters most, raising standards and creating opportunities for children across the country.

Labour are doing things differently in government.

One of these is more partnerships.

At a time when money is scarce these partnerships bring great initiatives to save money or make it go further.

We can only do this kind of journalism with your support.

The number of releases in error includes a contribution from early release schemes - I've found 37 so far at the beginning of the last scheme in September 2024.

Don't forget, the Tories released 10,083 people early from October 2023 and that four months of 2024-25 was under Sunak & co.

So the Algerian, Brahim Kaddour-Cherif, wrongly released from prison:

+ is not an asylum seeker, as the Tories claimed in the Commons and asked the Deputy PM explicity about

+ entered the UK legally in 2019, under the Tories

+ overstayed his visa in 2020 & had his case creatd 6th Feb 2020

2,600 prison places created since Labour came to Power. Labour have approved the building of a new prison.

500 places were created by the Tories between 2010 and 2024. No new prisons built in 14 years.

But it’s all Labour’s fault. Yeah right. We are not stupid.

Labour are not letting Farage get away with saying he wants a lower minimum wage for younger workers with a nice bit of mocking.

It comes with the caption including "just say you hate young people".

Labour want to increase the minimum wage for younger workers and made steps towards that this year.
