Was craving Indian food last night while out at a show. So I’m chatting a buddy up about my preferred option and he informs me that his wife who works for the local health department’s exact words were “the place is 50% traditional building materials, 50% cockroaches”. So anyway, burrito instead.

Just saying, I’d buy 100 business card prints of an upgrade to this design/concept from a motivated artist.

It’s Thanksgiving next week which can only mean one thing… shit tons of new vintage Chablis and White Burgundy to unload, set up, and stock. Thankfully I didn’t get a single case of Beaujolais Nouveau this year. It’s the little wins that I savor the sweetness of the most.

Happy Belated to one of the best to ever do it… Malcolm John Rebennack Jr. aka Mac aka Dr. John. Doc was a guitar player before a gunshot wound to his left hand changed the course of our collective musical history. That injury led him to a career as one of the finest pianists to ever play the keys.

It’s still out there unused, but after arise hit a couple weeks ago I’m not betting on it coming up anytime soon.

I was out of town for Phish when these cats showed up and played their second show as a band. Apparently they melted some faces with their mix of jamband covers and originals. I’m all kinds of excited to see these young bucks play the Hangar 9 tonight.

That’s how I used to roll. Then both of those hit within a couple weeks and I’ve been grasping at straws ever since.

Whatever…. I’ve certainly done worse. I’ll take any win, no matter how big or small on a Friday.

Grate has already been used as a wordle solution. Having a weird memory that retains that kind of data makes wordle kinda annoying. Still haven’t found a new starter since Arise that I really feel confident about using.

Not a JamBand?

We’ve got a proper pitch black dark room…. for 12 hours a day. But it smells a lot like Otto’s Jacket in there and I’m not sure it’s a suitable environment for a teenager. Thankfully they have one that she can use for development at school.

My 15 year old daughter has found photography and it has changed her whole outlook on school and social function. The kid has her own insta page dedicated solely to her camera work… with a bunch of followers. It’s awesome to see your kid win.

My two cents, this one is really good….

We got lucky and had an offer accepted many years ago for a JMP with Fish show. It was insanely good but poorly attended. Masefield came and pulled my dat rig off the board at set break and confiscated my tape of first set. So anywho, if anyone has Copper Dragon 01/14/04 and wants to share…

I was at 75 in a row but got covid and forgot to work the puzzles in my moment of hallucination inducing fever. I was sure that I was gonna finally get that 100 in a row badge. Alas, it was not be.

Same. Thankfully we have a newly opened Donut shop in town and the lady that runs it is amazing, and takes requests. Up next on my request list is Toasted Coconut Custard filled. I asked for Cronuts when she first opened and it has since turned into one of her best sellers. I love a fresh donut.
