Watching Strictly without the sound on- it’s incomprehensible. People with boxes on their heads in home made costumes?

I was so confused this week to see that The Queen had commented sadly on Jilly Cooper dying & assumed they had accidentally run a pre written obit. It was *hours* later until it dawned on me.

Or poor customer service by unhappy, untrained & bewildered staff on top of poor design of many shops. In a main city shopping street in March the main tone I encountered was resentment, silence & design to view not sell. Overheard in a bookshop: ‘if you can’t find it here you can order it on-line’.
