I almost said it is the Cookie Clicker of JRPGs, but while Cookie Clicker does a similar thing with the mechanics of number-go-up (ie, remove all abstractions that normally hide the gets of the engine) it still has a kooky style and sense of humor. I have been playing the deranged game "Dungeon Encounters" directed by Final Fantasy's own Hiroyuki Ito. Its fanatical devotion to stripping all the window dressing off turn-based JRPGs is noble in its insanity. Look bitch, you're going to walk around and pick attacks off a menu and that's it!!!!

Other shows say "no other podcast is doing this" in reference to their deeply researched niche topics or wildly creative projects. When I say it I mean it in reference to going to a furniture store to get a jar of brown British goop.

I don't think there has been an episode of Anime Sickos that has more surprised and challenged me than this one. I would have bet 1000 dollars I would never love to eat a radish sandwich. I am fully in the tank for tea sandwiches folks.

Play FF 4, 5, and 6. First three Final Fantasies really are only fun for fans who want to follow the series’ evolution. Similar for DQ 1 and 2. The HD2D remake of three is probably the one to go for if you want a retro one
