Canada is not atypical of other OECD countries, including the United States. The largest part of this sector's value added is imputed rents of owner-occupied housing. Given the large share of housing in (e.g.) the CPI, this high share in GDP is to be expected.

Eurostar publiceert ook relatieve prijzen (PPPs) voor BBP, consumptie en delen daarvan. Consumenten prijzen van voedingsmiddelen waren in 2023 4-5% lager dan in België en Duitsland.

De moeilijkste les uit de Nederlandse ervaringen is dat industriebeleid evenzeer gaat om wat je niet stimuleert als om wat je wel steunt, aldus @robertinklaar.bsky.social.

Though also remarkable is that being a big outlier on this chart is not enough as those two are not the only or most substantial outliers. And the rich countries with the very low completion rates, what are they about? Not arguing about Korea and Taiwan, just puzzled by the overall figure.
