The cost is what gets me too. I had to go from collector to observer because I couldn't swing double the cost for sets just because there's someone else's IP on the card art.

Seems like they were threatened by the amount of work you were putting into it.

Makeshift Munitions was an all-star against two consecutive opponents in my last pauper event, allowing me to 2-0 both of them. My grixis affinity deck isn't even technically done yet but when your opponent is below 10 and you're looking at their life total and it matches your artifact land count? 🤣

I suppose if that's ok with the group it's fine but in general you'd think you'd want to design a cube where the games can end in a timely fashion.
